About WalkingPadReviews
WalkingPadReviews is an independent review site. Spent 9 years as a backend engineer who sat 10 hours a day, then her L5 disc herniated at 31. Physical therapist told her to move hourly or pay for it later. Now she reviews walking pads and standing-desk gear from a home office she rebuilt around movement.
Who's Behind This
Nina, based in Austin, Texas, has been testing walking pads & under-desk treadmills for years. Every review on this site comes from hands-on time with the actual product — not spec sheets.
How We Test
- ✅ No sponsored reviews. We never accept payment for placements.
- ✅ Honest comparisons. If a product isn't good, we'll tell you.
- ✅ Transparent methodology. We explain exactly how we test and rate.
- ✅ Affiliate disclosure. Some links earn us a commission at no cost to you.
What We Believe
- A walking pad is a medical device with a marketing problem. I review it like one.
- If a pad can't hit 2 mph at a reasonable noise level, it's a very expensive footrest.
- The remote control is the most important feature nobody tests. I use mine 40 times a day.
- Under-desk treadmills are not treadmills. Comparing them to gym equipment is how people get hurt.
